TAT Joins NEO in a Successful Tourism Stimulation, as 4 – Day Promotion Netting over 500 Million Baht in Thailand Golf & Dive Expo 2010 and Wonderful Thailand 2010
Thailand Golf and Dive Expo 2010 and Wonderful Thailand 2010 drew to a lively close, as net sales in the fair surged spectacularly, with over 500 million baht in circulation at the fair, attended by up to 200,000 visitors. Next year’s event is scheduled during 12 – 15 May 2011, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
Mrs. Ladda Mongkolchaivivat, General Manager, N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co. Ltd. (NEO) revealed that the Thailand Golf & Dive Expo 2010 and Wonderful Thailand 2010 concluded beautifully, with participating exhibitors in altogether 753 booths, and about 200,000 visitors. The fair was held in 3 parts, comprising the first part as diving tour activities, offering diving tour packages, diving lesson packages, and diving tools at up to 30% discount, cameras and housing, the second part as golfing activities, with golf course packages, as well as brand name golfing equipment, and the last part as general tour activities, with packages from hotels, resorts, tour agencies, airlines, destinations, and other tour packages offered at up to 50% discount in all parts around Thailand.
“The first day of the fair was lively with visitors from morning hours selecting tour packages offered by entrepreneurs throughout the day, and continuously participating in activities, from stage shows as lectures on photographing techniques, letter models theater, and activities for golfers, such as putting contest, 100,000 baht one putt 40 feet distance, with putting contest on an 18-hole indoor model green for the first time in Thailand, contests on far and near shots with Golf Simulator and Miss Caddy contest this past Saturday. “For the first day, the 1 putt 100,000 baht contest was keenly participated, with the first achiever as Master Korn Chinangkul, aged only 9. From then, there were altogether 10 putters who achieved the feat on the first day. On the next days, more and more participants took part in testing their skills. On the final day, the only achiever was Mr. Watchara Nawawong. As for the Miss Caddy contest, the top winner was a caddy from the Green Valley Golf Course. Moreover, there was the 7th model cliff climbing contest at various difficulty levels, with both Thai and foreign challengers, from Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, and France, all creating colorful events, cheered loudly by Thai and foreign supporters. Participants who shopped in the fair increased every year.”
